12. Boomer Essiason
Boomer was a great Quarterback for the Bengals and he led them to a Super Bowl appearance but lost 20-16. Boomer played for the Jets and he had a decline but he was still a great qb so he is on this list.
11. Matt Ryan
Matt Ryan was a good QB at the beginning of his career and even appearing in a Super Bowl but his Atlanta Falcons blew a 28-3 lead to the New England Patriots losing 34-28. Ryan won MVP and passed for 70,000 yards.
10. Dan Fouts
Dan Fouts was the Quarterback for the San Diego Chargers in the 70's and he never was able to appear in the Super Bowl but he was a great qb so that is why he is on this list. Fouts played 15 seasons and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993.
9. Steve Mcnair
Steve Mcnair was one of the best quarterbacks to ever play for the Tennessee Titans. Mcnair took the Titans to the Super Bowl against the St. Louis Rams they lost 23-16. Mcnair had a solid career and in 2000 he helped take the Titans to the Divisional round but lost to the Baltimore Ravens.
8. Michael Vick
Michael Vick was the fastest qb of all time and he was like a running back that could throw. Vick played for multiple different teams after his time with the Atlanta Falcons but Vick will be remembered as a Falcon or an Eagle but his stats with the Falcons were better.
7. Donovan McNabb
McNabb was a good qb for the Philidelphia Eagles and even brought them to a Super Bowl but lost to the Patriots. McNabb was never the same after the Super Bowl as he started to lose more games and less playoff appearances.
6. Philip Rivers
Philip Rivers was a great qb for the Chargers and brought them to the 2007 AFC title game but lost 21-12 to the Patriots. Philip Rivers got drafted b y the Giants but got traded to the Chargers and Eli Manning went to the Giants. Rivers played many years for the Chargers but then he got sign by the Indianapolis Colts. Rivers brought the Colts to the playoffs but lost to the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card.
5. Randall Cunnigham
Randall Cunninghgam was a great qb for the Eagles but he was never able to win a Super Bowl but he was still a great quarterback and he is going to be on this list. Cunningham was really fast and was very good at throwing the ball. The 90's were mostly dominated by The San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys and Cunningham and the Eagles were not strong enough. Cunnigham spent a little time with the Vikings too.
4. Warren Moon
Warren Moon was known for his time with the Houston Oilers in the 80's and 90's. Moon and the Oilers started
0-4 in 1993 but they went on a 12 game winning streak earning them a first round bye but then they lost the divisional round to the Kansas City Chiefs 28-20. The year before the Oilers gave up a 30+ point come back to the Buffalo Bills. The Oilers disbanded and Moon bounced around different teams.
3. Jim Kelly
Jim Kelly played for The Buffalo Bills from 1986-1996. In that time period Jim Kelly went to 4 Super Bowls in a row and he lost all 4 of them. Kelly and the Bills got blown out in 3 of the Super Bowls and in the 1990 Super Bowl they lost 20-19. Kelly was never the same after there last Super Bowl which they lost to the Cowboys
30-13.
2. Fran Tarkenton
Fran Tarkenton played for the Minnesota Vikings in the 60's and 70's and they made 4 Super Bowls but lost all of them. Tarkenton was the greatest qb to ever play for The Vikings and he did a lot for them. Tarkenton lost Super Bowls to teams such as the Oakland Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, and The Pitsburgh Steelers.
1.Dan Marino
Dan Marino was no doubt the greatest qb to never win a Super Bowl. Marino played for the Miami Dolphins and appeared in a Super Bowl but lost to the San Francisco 49ers. Marino had a strong career after the Super Bowl but in his last game he lost 63-3 to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
